Google Pay now lets users recharge their FASTag accounts from within the app. Users can also link their FASTag accounts to the payment app so that recharging your FASTag will be easy.
1. Recharge FASTag on Google Pay
To use Google Pay to recharge your FASTag, ensure that you have an active FASTag and Google Pay installed on your smartphone.
Step 1: Launch the Google Pay app on your mobile device.
Step 2: Swipe up from the bottom of your screen.
Step 3: Click on ‘FASTag’ and then make payment.
Step 4: Select the FASTag account that you want to recharge.
Step 5: You’ll need to enter the amount.
Step 6: Click on the checkmark to confirm.
Users should know that they can only link ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank accounts in Google Play. It can happen that the bank hasn’t topped-up your FASTag account for some reason, even if the payment was successful. In such a case, communicate with the bank and keep your UPI Transaction ID handy.
