Esmeralda featured as a deuteragonist of Disney’s 1996 animated feature film The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Her sales, as of 2005 were seen to be disappointing and therefore she was no longer seen with other princesses in any product.

Jane Porter was an important part of the Disney Princess franchise but eventually over years, she was removed because her dress color scheme seemed to be very similar to Belle’s.
