How To Go Live On Tik Tok New Musical.ly Update

Earlier this year of 2018, the popular app was rebranded as Tik Tok and it has brought some significant changes. There are a number of added features and effects which were not there before. Also, the interface of the platform has drastically changed and turned it into something totally new and stunning.

But with all these changes seen this year, one drastic change has also occurred in the user’s life. As Musical.ly before getting transformed scraped its standalone streaming app Live.ly in 2018. Launched in July 2016, during VidCon, Live.ly was an app which helped users to go live on the platform to communicate with their fans worldwide.

But there is nothing to worry because the company just merged Live.ly’s standalone application into the mainline Tik Tok/Musical.ly application. According to TechCrunch, “The majority of live stream viewership was already taking place on Musical.ly’s main app. So it made sense for the company. To consolidate the live video alongside the other short, lip sync videos Musical.ly is known for.” Because of which the app is removed from Google Play and App Store.

Do I have to have any specific number of fans? Because it doesn’t work for me.

My TikTok is @jakeaarons

I really don’t think to go live on Tik Tok you need to have a specific number of fans. Try updating the app or if you are using any banned words in the title then change it with some alternate words.

I am not able to live on tik tok

I did just as the instructions says and there was no button to go live all there is is special effects I am VERY frustrated and not happy and I do have Tic toc including music.ly so I don’t understand at all why there is no button.

You might have been going on some audio to record because only in that case the “LIVE” option won’t be there. Don’t go on any song just click on the add button from the bottom and you will see beside your “Video” button, there will be the option of “Live”.

I can’t find the button to go live

It wasn’t showing up. Do u need a specific amount of followers

You need 1k fans I think

I wonder if that is the reason because in here (India) you can go live even with 300 fans or less. So, might there will be some country wise restriction on the number of followers you require or some app glitch. As the above method are the only steps you can now go live on tik tok with.

It won’t show up for me and I have no song to do it with

It doesn’t show on my tik tok
