YouTube always finds approaches to keep people watching more videos and consists of several channels that it thinks users will like based on their current watching patterns helping them discover new videos. If a user wants to find more content he is headed to the ‘Trending’ but it seems like YouTube wants its users to discover videos by other creators not with these two methods but soon after they are done watching a video. However, YouTube is planning to implement this with ‘featured in this video’ section that is currently being tested on the Android app.
The section will highlight creators that have featured in that video and will be shown right below the video that viewers are watching. “We’re starting this experiment with a diverse group of the top searched creators across various categories on YouTube, and only a small percentage of viewers using the YouTube Android app will see the feature while we gather feedback,” adds the YouTube Help page.
This move aims to make it easier for creators to share the featured creator’s channels on their video and will allow users to subscribe to new channels and watch content. As of now, creators mention each and every video creator separately in the description and copy/paste the links to their channels.
However, the feature is still under tests, it is not for sure when or if this feature will be coming to all the Android users or not. Moreover, YouTube is also testing ‘Explore’ on mobile that will allow users to have access to destinations across numerous topics like fashion, music, gaming, and more.
