The Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are all set to go on sale in the country for the first time. The sale will kick off at 12noon on the Amazon India website, Mi.com and Mi Home store. Xiaomi also announced that the phones would soon be made available across other offline stores.
Redmi Note 8: price & specifications
Redmi Note 8 features a 6.3-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. It houses a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support in the box and runs MIUI 10 based on Android Pie. As far as the camera is concerned, Redmi Note 8 packs primary 48MP image sensor, secondary 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro lens. Moreover, the phone packs 128GB of internal storage and can be expanded up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Redmi Note 8 will be made available in Moonlight White, Neptune Blue, and Space Black color options. The base model of 4GB RAM is priced at Rs 9,999 whereas the 6GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 12,999.

Redmi Note 8 Pro sports a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) HDR display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone on the rear includes a primary 64MP 1/1.7 inch CMOS image sensor, secondary 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 2MP depth sensor, and 2MP macro lens. The Redmi Note 8 Pro includes a 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support in the box. Moreover, Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Note 8 Pro will be upgraded to MIUI 11 in December this year. As of now, it will run MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. It will be made available in Gamma Green, Halo White, and Shadow Black shades. The smartphone is priced at Rs.14,999 for the base 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant whereas the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 15,999. On the other hand, the highest-end 8GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration is priced at Rs. 17,999.
