Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi is working on the next version of its fitness band. It’s been seven months since the launch of Mi Band 4 and now the company is likely working on the Mi Band 5. As per a new report, the company is likely to make evolutionary improvements to the next version.
As per a report by TizenHelp, Xiaomi’s Mi Band 5 will come with support for NFC outside of China and will also support Google Pay along with other payment methods in the global variant.
The display is expected to become brighter with better contrast to ensure improved usability under direct sunlight. It will also feature a full-color AMOLED panel as per a recent report. Not much is known about the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 fitness tracker but some reports indicate that the wearable device might go official sometime in the second quarter of this year. It would cost around 179 yuan (approx. ₹1,800) but in India, it could be priced around ₹2,500.
