WhatsApp is working on a new feature called ‘Message Yourself,’ pushed to some beta users. This official feature will let you text yourself on the platform. Earlier, people used ‘wa.me/91’ to send a message to themselves.

Android Beta testers spotted this feature, so it is safe to infer that it will soon be introduced on the stable build.

WAbetaifo showed a screenshot of the new feature in action that will help us understand its usability.

You’ll need to select your number from the contact list to message yourself. Remember that your number will have the ‘Message Yourself’ tag. Your name will also get the ‘You’ suffix next to your chat name.

This will also show the message sent to you on all the linked devices. It is also reported that this feature is also rolling out to some iOS beta users.

There is no official word when WhatsApp’s ‘Message Yourself’ feature will reach stable Android and iOS users.
