Netflix’s ad tier might discard advertisements for some content

NEWS

Netflix's ad-supported tier is coming in early next year.

Netflix Inc.’s kids programming and new movies will stay commercial free when it introduces its advertising-supported streaming service.

The company will be offering a new Netflix tier at a lower price, with the goal of increasing its appeal to price-conscious consumers.

Netflix is a world famous streaming service. It is used by more than 220 million customers.

Analysts estimate Netflix could still make $3 billion to $4 billion a year in ad revenue.

The new Netflix’s ad-supported tier will be a completely different service as it won’t insert ads into its existing service.

Disney and Netflix are likely to show less online ads than most people see on TV or on the other streaming services.
