South Korean girl group Blackpink rule the VMA’s as Lisa Best K-Pop for her song Lalisa

Lalisa Manobal, known as Lisa, won Best K-Pop at the MTV Video Music Awards 2022 for her song Lalisa. The video viral on social media shows an ecstatic Lisa getting a hug from her overjoyed bandmates after receiving the award. She gave a shoutout to the members, Jisoo, Rose, and Jennie, in her acceptance speech and ended the speech with, “I love you!”

Other K-Pop bands were nominated, including BTS for Yet To Come, Itzy for Loco, Twice for ‘The Feels,’ and Seventeen for ‘Hot,’ Stray Kids with Maniac.

Blackpink even performed their latest single, Pink Venom, at the VMA’s.

The girl K-Pop band made was launched in 2016 with their album Square One.’ It gave hits like Boombayah and Whistle. They also commemorated their sixth anniversary and announced their world tour named Born Pink.

Blackpink’s ‘Pink Venom’ was in the second spot on the Spotify Top Songs Global Weekly Chart released on August 26th. The song has a total of 41.2 million streams. The band has been on Spotify’s Top Songs Global Weekly Chart so far,  with hits like ‘How You Like That’ (4th), ‘Ice Cream’ (5th), ‘Kill This Love’ (5th), and ‘Love Girls’ (6th).

Even though ‘Pink Venom’ is a pre-release song as a part of their 2nd full-length album, anticipations for the album’s title song are rising as it overtakes the achievements of existing hit songs.
