Instagram has announced that it is launching the much-awaited in-app scheduling tool to all professional accounts.

The launch isn’t surprising, as app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi reported in July that Instagram was testing a scheduling feature.

The new scheduling tool will likely be a game changer, as social media managers and content creators had to depend on third-party tools to schedule posts on Instagram.

It isn’t clear when Instagram will roll out this feature to regular accounts, but anyone can switch to a professional account by navigating their account settings.

Schedule your posts on Instagram with the following steps:

  • Create a post on your Instagram account.
  • Go to ‘Advanced Settings.’
  • Select the ‘Schedule this post’ switch.
  • Choose the time and date you want the post to go live on your feed.
  • Go back to the Instagram post flow.
  • Click on ‘Schedule.’

This feature will allow automation, giving users more efficiency by publishing to Instagram without being physically present.

One of the ways creators can take advantage of scheduling posts on Instagram is to publish more content unfailingly during prime engagement periods. They must determine when their audience is most active and routinely post content during those hours.

Meanwhile, Instagram also launched “Achievements” in reels. Creators can now unlock achievements about detailed actions when creating a reel, like engaging with their community by making reels more interactive, using trending audio and effects, collaborating with another creator, or making more than one reel in a week.
