Launch Date

Going by the patter, Samsung launches every S series phone in San Francisco. It might be the case for S11 as well. SamMobile assumes the launch date to be on February 18, 2020. If you might recall, the S10 series was launched on February 20, 2019. So it comes pretty close. Of course, the final date might change but we’ll keep you updated.

Leaked Specifications

Rumors are rife that the S11 could be equipped with a 108 MP camera and a 5x optical zoom. Samsung has launched the production of a new x5 optical module that might make its first appearance on the S11. Moreover, the said zoom feature would be integrated into the new 108-megapixel main sensor designed in partnership with Xiaomi.

Samsung will also launch a never-seen feature on a smartphone – the spectrometer. Let’sGoDigital, a Dutch website, claims that the Korean company has filed a patent for a smartphone with a spectrometer sensor. A spectrometer determines the chemical composition by reading the planet’s surface. This technology can be used to detect the freshness of fruits and the authenticity of jewelry. Samsung can even program this feature to find the calorie values of food items. China’s Changhong is the only brand to equip its phone with a material sensor.
