Shenzhen-based Chinese manufacturer Realme will take the wraps off its Realme XT smartphone in India today. The launch event will begin at 12:30 p.m. IST. Realme revealed several specifications of the smartphone in India before the launch and it sure looks promising.
Those who want to witness the launch can do so on Realme’s YouTube channel. The specifications have been on the internet so only the pricing and detailed specifications remain a mystery. But based on the company’s recent trend, Realme XT will be priced somewhere in the mid-range section.
Realme XT features a 6.4 inches full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch at the top. It has Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back with an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 SoC coupled with three RAM and storage options: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 128GB of storage. It runs on Android 9 Pie, with ColorOS 6 on top.
On the camera side of the things, Realme XT will sport a quad-camera setup that would include a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It also has an Ultra 64MP mode in the camera settings that will let you take photos at the sensor’s full potential. It will also support electronic stabilization. The other lens incorporates an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor for those fancy portrait shots. The waterdrop notch houses a 16MP selfie shooter.
The phone will have a 4000mAh battery which supports 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging from a USB Type-C port. The phone also has the ever-vanishing 3.5mm audio jack.
