Realme X is all set to embrace the Indian market. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth had confirmed that the smartphone will be making a debut in the second half of this year. If rumors are to be believed, the Realme X will be officially launched next month, coinciding with the Spiderman Far From Home Release and thus the company will offer a special-edition Spiderman case to mark the collaboration.
The movie will hit the theatres on July 4, which is a direct sequel to Spiderman Homecoming and the mighty Avengers Endgame. Whether the case will be launched on the movie’s release date or alongside the phone itself is unknown yet. Moreover, we have no details about whether the potential consumers will get the case bundled with Realme X will have to buy it separately.
The Realme X is strikingly similar to the Realme 3 Pro, mostly due to the S shape on the rear. It is lit by a 6.5 inches full-HD+ AMOLED display which is covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The phone will make a shift to an in-display fingerprint sensor. It will run on the Android 9 Pie, ColorOS 6.0 atop. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset powers Realme X which won’t give you a flagship performance but will handle the daily tasks you will throw at it. There are two storage and RAM options – 4GB RAM + 64GB and 8GB+128GB. There is not an option to expand the storage.
On the camera side of things, the phone sports dual cameras, the main being the 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor which has an f/1.7 aperture. The secondary lens is a 5MP depth sensor for portraits. The Realme X shoots up to 4K 30fps and has some usual features like HDR, Nightscape, etc. The front camera is a 16MP sensor, based on the pop-up mechanism.
To sustain all of this, there’s a 3700mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. It can be charged via USB Type-C. In addition, there is dual-sim functionality, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, etc.
Price-wise, the Realme X could cost ₹15,500 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB model while for the 8GB+128GB you’ll have to fork out ₹18,600. Once the device or the cover is official, we’ll inform you about it so stay tuned.
