Realme is all set to launch its first-ever smart TV in India in Q2 2020 as part of its strategy to expand into newer categories including smartwatch and speaker. Industry executives said that this move will trigger another round of price war in the television segment.
“Smart television is growing in India and we will become a significant player offering disruptive experience at the correct price,” Sheth said. He also said that Realme will be targeting Rs 3,000 crore sales from the newer categories in 2020 by launching 20 new products, while the company seeks to double its revenue.
Also, the Realme executive revealed that the wearable device will feature a color OLED display and will come equipped with a heart rate sensor.
