The app will run on a brand new Valkyrie graphics engine that works with Apple’s Metallic API for sooner efficiency on the iPad. Savage Interactive says that with Valkyrie, the imported ABR brushes paint sooner in Procreate 5 than in Photoshop.

The Valkyrie engine powers the brand new Brush studio characteristic and lets artists mix two brushes to create a customized one. Customers can also continue to tweak settings and management of how the brushes will look and behave.

Procreate 5 comes with a bunch of latest coloration options. Colour Dynamics lets artists management settings like hue, saturation, and brightness by means of the Apple Pencil’s Tilt and strain. On the other hand, Colour Concord routinely selects complementary, split-complementary, analogous, triadic, and tetradic colors based mostly on the color you’ve chosen. CMYK is another new addition to Procreate that will enable artists the flexibleness to work with print information, like comedian guide pages.

A new tool called Animation Assist adds a timeline to the app for looping GIFs and animated videos. The tool also adds features like onion skinning and set frames per second.
