OnePlus finally announced the launch of OnePlus 7T and OnePlus TV on Thursday in India. OnePlus 7T will come with a new design as the vertical camera strip has been replaced by circular rim design. And the OnePlus TV will be available in two variants – the OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro priced at ₹ 69,900 and ₹ 99,900 respectively.
OnePlus 7T: specifications and price
The latest smartphone offers a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 20:9 aspect ratio, a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, a pixel density of 402ppi and support for sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts. The dual-SIM OnePlus 7T will run on OxygenOS 10.0 based on the Android 10 operating system. It will be available in two color options i.e Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver with a matte-frosted glass back. The handset comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Moreover, it will offer 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.0 2-lane storage and with no external storage option but will come with a dual nano-SIM slot.
The OnePlus 7T packs a 3,800mAh battery and it supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging technology which delivers 30W (5V/ 6A) power. The company claims that the Warp Charge 30T is 18% faster than the previous Warp Charge 30 found on OnePlus 7 Pro and can charge a 3,800mAh battery to 70 percent in just half an hour. Further, Connectivity options on the OnePlus 7T include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C (v3.1 Gen 1) port. It has dimensions of 160.94×74.4×8.13mm, weighs 190 grams and the display also houses a fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus 7T has a triple rear camera setup. It will feature a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor as its primary camera, with an f/1.6 aperture, 1.6-micron pixels, optical image stabilization, electronic image stabilization, and phase detection autofocus whereas the secondary camera will feature a 2x telephoto lens with a 12-megapixel sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and 1.0-micron pixels. The third camera is an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 16-megapixel sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and a 117-degree field of view. On the front, there is a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with a fixed focus and 1080p video recording support of 1080p at 30fps. Moreover, the company is promoting camera features like Portrait, an upgraded UltraShot Engine, Nightscape 2.0, Pro Mode, AI Scene Detection, Panorama, HDR, Time-Lapse, and RAW Image.
The OnePlus 7T will be available at a starting price of ₹ 37,999. The base variant of the OnePlus 7T comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The second storage variant of the OnePlus 7T is priced at ₹ 39,999.
OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro: Features and specifications
OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro features 55-inch 4K-resolution QLED panels. The 50W soundbar has eight front-firing speaker drivers – two woofers, four full-range drivers, and three tweeters. The OnePlus TV Q1 will have a sound output of 50W but without the soundbar speaker. Both TVs will support Dolby Vision and sound formats up to Dolby Atmos, along with support for the HDR10 high dynamic range format.
The OnePlus TV models will have a Kevlar-like finish at the back, and come with unique stand design and will be wall-mounted, with the Q1 Pro model. To enhance the picture quality, the OnePlus TV range has been incorporated with the Gamma Magic Colour picture processor. Both the TV models will run on Android TV 9.0 and will have support for Google Assistant.
Moreover, OnePlus has also released the OnePlus Connect app that can be used with the OnePlus TV that will allow users to use the smartphone as a virtual remote for the TV, browse through and directly play content on OxygenPlay, and quickly cast local video files on the smartphone to the TV. It will also come with some other features such as TypeSync that will allow users to type text on the TV using a smartphone, and Smart Volume Control, which will adjust the volume on the TV while getting a call on your smartphone.
