Now considering the fact that 2017 is slated to see quite a number of high-end devices from the likes of the big tech giants like LG and Samsung, the Chinese company is definitely pegged to do something groundbreaking with the upcoming device which will help retain the device line’s ‘flagship killer’ moniker.

Now a huge number of rumours have surfaced online pertaining to the OnePlus 4 smartphone with all of the features from the previously rolled out OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T expected to feature significant ramp-ups. One of the most striking ones at that is the possible incorporation of the Snapdragon 835 processor. The chipset which was launched at the CES 2017 event earlier in January is perhaps the most coveted processor in the market with most 2017 flagships pegged to feature the same.

The 10-nanometer fabrication process makes the chipset up to 30 percent more efficient while offering performance improvement of 27 percent over its predecessor, the Snapdragon 820 also offering 40% more battery backup as well as fast-charging enabled via Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 4.0. The chipset will is poised to be paired with Adreno 540 graphics, 6GB of DDR4 RAM, 64GB or 128GB of storage (which can be upped to 256GB with a microSD card).

Further rumours pertaining to the OnePlus 4 smartphone point at an OLED panel incorporation following up on LG’s extensive study on the technology. Pegged to sport an edge to edge display on top of the screen panel, the design aspects of the OnePlus 4 seem revolutionary already.

The upcoming smartphone is slated to eliminate front bezels on the device as a result of which the home button also gets removed. The fingerprint scanner is slated to be located on the rear panel of the device underneath the dual-lens camera setup with possible rumours of an iris scanner slated to feature in the device as an additional security feature.

The fact that the OnePlus 4 will feature as one of the most premium smartphones is unprecedented as of now. There were reports earlier which hinted at a direct OnePlus 5 from the 3T owing to the number 4 being considered unlucky in China but those have not materialised as the company has opened up talks about the OnePlus 4 pseudo officially now.

With more and more concepts of the device slated to feature in the build-up to its release, waiting for the device to be rolled out might just be worth it for the smartphone enthusiast of today. OnePlus 4 is expected to release in India on 20 May 2017.

Tech enthusiast. That is how I would like to present myself to everyone. And I have the habit of reviewing new smartphones and other electronic gadgets which are launched by the respective developers that are based across the world.I have always loved traveling but because I don’t get much time to do it, watching stories set in other places makes up for that. I am a coffee drinker and dream of going on a world tour the year I hit my 30s.
