Nokia 8.1’s successor is in the rumor phase right now. Reports suggest that HMD Global will incorporate its first pop-up camera in the upcoming Nokia 8.2 To jog your memory, the Nokia 8.1 was launched in December 2018 and the firm is making some changes to its successor. Indian tipster Ishan Agarwal has said that Nokia 8.2 might come with a pop-up camera. The Nokia X71, which was recently launched in China, was the first-ever Nokia phone with a punch-hole display. The selfie pop-up camera will have a 32MP sensor which will make room for a bigger and immersive display. Other reports claim that Nokia 8.2 will run on Android Q out of the box so new features are also expected. This means that the phone might hit the stores after October as Google’s own Pixel 4 will debut with next-generation Android. Other leaks also point at possible 5G connectivity for two new phones, which will be launched during the third quarter of 2019. One of the two devices might sport a Snapdragon 855 while the other could be a mid-ranger Nokia 8.2 Right now, there aren’t any 5G mid-range phones so Nokia could very well be the first.
Nokia will also update the design and could give it a more premium look. Keep in mind that these are all rumors and might change until the phone is officially launched, so take every news with a grain of salt.
