Some details were not announced, like the presence of both Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Surface head Panos Panay at the event and that Microsoft will be live streaming the event this time. This a first time as the company didn’t have a live stream for the Surface Book 2 or Pro 6. But, it live-streamed the event wherein Surface Studio and Surface Book 2 were announced.
Microsoft is expected to show off newer hardware and software, to go along with it. The successor to the Surface Book, which hasn’t been updated since the last 2 years, might be announced. In addition, Surface Go, Surface Pro, and Surface Laptop could get a spec boost. What will be interesting, is the heavily-rumored dual-screen, extra-portable Surface, codenamed Centaurus. A Surface speaker might also be in the unveiling list.
Centaurus might run Microsoft’s Windows Lite, assumed to be the company’s mobile-first alternative to Windows 10. It will be capable to run the usual Windows apps. Rumors also point to a revamped interface.
The live steam will begin at 10 a.m. ET, ( 7:30 p.m. IST) on October 2nd and it can be watched on Microsoft’s official site.
