Microsoft unveiled their Surface lineup of laptops a month ago, but there was no word as to when they will be available for Indian consumers. That changes today!

Microsoft announced that the Surface Laptop 5 and Surface Pro 9 are now available Indian users for pre-order via Amazon.in, Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital, and select multi-brand stores.

The company did not mention the Surface Studio 2+ which was launched last month with the new surface lineup.

The sales will begin on 29th November.

Users who purchase the Surface Pro 9 will get a black Surface Pro Keyboard worth ₹14,999 for free, while those opting for Surface Laptop 5 will fetch them a Surface poppy red Arc Mouse worth ₹7,499.

Irina Ghose, Chief Operating Officer, Microsoft India, said, “We are pleased to bring the new Surface devices to India, expanding our portfolio for Windows 11. With Windows 11, new Surface products, apps and experiences, today we take the next step on our journey.”

Surface Pro 9:

Surface Pro 9 is has new internals with PixelSense display. The edge-to-edge panel provides a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2880 x 1920 resolution. Surface Pro 9 comes in two variants – Intel 12th Generation Core processors and Microsoft’s own SQ3 chip powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon. The latter offers 5G connectivity, which Intel lacks.

Intel variants have 8GB, 16GB and 32GB RAM and 1TB SSD while SQ3 comes in either 8GB or 32GB options and 512GB SSD. Also, only the Intel variant offers Thunderbolt 4 I/O.

It is said that the SQ3 variant has better battery life compared to its Intel counterpart.

The Surface Pro 9 starts at ₹1,05,999.

Surface Laptop 5:

The Surface Laptop 5 comes in 13.5-inch or 15-inch sizes with a 3:2 PixelSense display. The smaller 13.5-inch variant offers a choice between Intel’s 12th Generation Core i5 or i7 processors and 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB RAM, with up to 1TB SSD.

The larger 15-inch variant only comes with Intel’s 12th Generation Core i7 processor, with the same RAM and storage options as the 13.5-inch model.

Microsoft offers Dolby Atmos 3D spatial processing that creates an immersive experience for users. The laptop is made of anodised aluminum finish and features 1X USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, 1X USB-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The base variant of Surface Laptop 5 costs ₹1,07,999.
