Lenovo has officially launched the Tab V7 in India. It was unveiled during MWC this year where tech enthusiasts got to see Lenovo’s “tablet-and-smartphone-in-one” ideology in a form factor. This “phablet” is a unique approach with some mediocre specifications.
Lenovo Tab V7 isn’t a 2019 smartphone in comparison to its looks. The 6.9 inches LCD display has chunkier bottom and top bezels but slim side bezels. The display has a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels, an aspect ratio of 18:9. It gets bright at about 350 nits. The bezels doubles as front-firing speakers with Dolby Audio.
Snapdragon 450 powers the tablet, which is relatively old, considering it was launched in 2017. Two different variants of Lenovo Tab V7 are available with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage options. Both these variants are further expandable via a micro SD card up to 1TB. The tablet runs on Android 9 Pie and has a stock UI. There are a total of 2 cameras on this device – 5MP fixed focus selfie shooter and a 13MP rear camera with autofocus. The rear camera offers some decent modes, like Panorama, Night Shot, Portrait, etc. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack and most importantly, the tablet packs quite a punch with its 5180mAh battery.
Rahul Agarwal, CEO, and MD, Lenovo India, said “At Lenovo, we listen to our consumers and bring in meaningful innovations that help them do more and achieve more. The Lenovo Tab V7 is the result of our relentless effort of understanding what our consumer needs, decode their requirements and come up with technology that can meet their expectations. The tablet market is showing signs of recovery, driven by the potential demand from sectors like Government, education, banking and finance and as the market leader, we are well-positioned to lead this growth.”
The Lenovo Tab V7 will go on sale starting from August 1. Users can buy the 3GB+32GB variant for ₹12,990 and the 4GB+64GB for ₹14,990 respectively from Flipkart. The tablet comes in Slate Black color only. It will also be available from Amazon.in, Croma, Reliance Digital and Vijay Sales.
