Till now we have interviewed many popular bloggers and entrepreneurs at 3nions. Today we are going to interview “Harleena Singh.” She is one of the most popular female bloggers in the Blogging World. She has won millions heart with her motivational blog posts on family well-being at her most recognized blog Aha!NOW. If you need motivation in your life, go and just read her blog posts, believe me, you will feel relief.
We are running out of words to describe her, all we can say is that “She is just Phenomenal.” It was a pleasure having her here at 3nions. Let’s do not waste more time and get motivated by her story and accomplishments.
Q. Please, introduce yourself and tell us about Aha!NOW?
I’m Harleena Singh, a professional freelance writer, and an authority blogger.
I started my blog Aha!NOW about six years back and it is now one of the reputed personal development blogs of the world. Aha!NOW presents diversified thoughts from all around the world, and provides solutions to the problems related to the personal and professional aspects of life, so as to bring happiness to the readers.
Q. How did you get into the world of blogging?
I first started off as a freelance writer in 2009. I felt the need to showcase my writing skills on different topics, and thought nothing could be better than starting a personal blog. Then I started Aha!NOW in December 2010 and became a full-time blogger a couple of years later.
Q. What specific strategies or principles helped you build a community like no other – Aha!NOW?
As a blogger, my focus had been on creating great content that is useful to the readers and developing relationships with fellow bloggers as well as the readers. I was an avid blog commenter and earned the reputation of a ‘commenting queen.’ That helped me connect with more bloggers. I selflessly promoted others on my social media accounts resulting in making more friends. That’s how I was able to build an engaging community on Aha!NOW.
Q. All those inspirational thoughts and motivational lines. Where do you get from?
To be honest, none of them are mine. 🙂 I spend the time to do my research and pick the best inspirational thoughts and quotes to share on the social media. I know they inspire and motivate me, and would help my fans and followers. My day is made if I’m able to inspire somebody or make people feel good.
Q. Which monetization methods you are using on your websites and blogs? And which one you found to be most effective?
I use three ways to monetize my blog – Affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, and Google Adsense ads. As Aha!NOW is an authority and popular blog, sponsored posts work best for me.
Q. Tell us about the failures and Eureka moment of your blogging journey?
Initially, I felt like starting a blog had been a mistake. I had no comments or visitors because I was a freelance writer before becoming a blogger, and their world is very different. However, things got better with time as I reached out and connected with people, and every time someone would say that you have a great blog and it has helped him or her, I considered that as my Eureka moment!
Q. What do you think about- content vs. backlinks, from your point of view?
I’ve never purposely tried to build backlinks for my blog. I understand that backlinks are important, and I know that my approach is quite different, but I’ve always believed that if my content is good and I’ve gained an authority status, I’ll get backlinks to my blog as a by-product. My focus remains on helping people. I get backlinks from roundup posts and interviews like these, apart from the blogs that I comment on and the sites that use or reference my blog content.
Q. What advice would you give to the newbie female bloggers around India?
To be a blogger, it doesn’t matter if you’re a male or female – all you need is a penchant for writing, expertise in some field, or even great marketing skills, which can help you become a successful blogger. Blogging demands your time and efforts, and if that’s not an issue for you, then you must jump in the blogging arena and create opportunities for yourself to become popular or earn passive income. If you need any help, you can always contact me on my blog, Twitter or Facebook accounts.
Thank you Harleena ma’am for sharing your inspirational journey with us. It was dream come true moment for us. You just made our day. We wish you all the best for your future achievements.
