In the bottom tabs, you’ll see Messages right next to call. You can, of course, call the business or go there but some people are too lazy to walk in or some aren’t a calling person. Click on Messages or swipe up to know more about the business.

You can inquire about some issues or timings or about the work, which the business can reply whenever they choose to. The three vertical dots on the top right corner houses additional options like Delete Chate and Block/report spam the business. Deleting the chat from your end won’t delete the chat business users possess.

The update now available globally, businesses now can put up their listings for people to contact them directly. People using Google Maps on Android AND iOS can take advantage of this feature but keep in mind that not all businesses support it.
