With declining Facebook post reach, it has now become difficult for Page Managers to show their content to a majority of their fans. Wider reach for Facebook posts is important to grow but with the latest Facebook algorithm invading user’s news feed for space is an all-time high. As the number of people will see your page posts on their feeds, it improves the chances of getting more likes, comments, and shares. And these likes and shares, further improve the visibility of your post which can make it ultimately appear on the news feeds of potential users who might like your page and become its loyal followers. In a nutshell, reduced posts reach has made difficult for Page Managers to grow their Facebook page audience organically.
But do not worry, in this post, I will share a simple method which I use personally to get more quality likes on my page. It helped me to get approximately 150 new users (most of them are engaging) in just one month. Before you proceed further, I would like to say that do not hope that you will get millions of likes in a very short span of time, but yes, if you are consistent enough, then success will follow. Also, remember that a small & active community is far better than a large & inactive one.
Let’s now see the steps to grow Facebook page audience organically.
1. Understand the audience
The first and foremost step is to analyze the demographics of your audience. If you already own a Facebook page, then you should have a clear picture of which type of users you are targeting. In case, you are getting started, then spend some time thinking which type of people will feel happy to hit the Like button on your page.
2. Connect with the targeted audience
Next step is to connect with the targeted audience personally and then invite them to like your page. By connecting I mean, send them friend requests and then initiate a conversation. Remember, to be a friend first and then act like a marketer.
The best place to find the audience that will definitely like your page is from your competitor’s pages. So, steal their audience and help your page to grow without spending any dime. You have to connect with people who like your competitor’s page posts.
I know sending friend requests to 100s of people is not a good idea as it will take a lot of time and energy too. Therefore, to ease up your task here is a tip from my side which will automate this task a bit.
You can use Toolkit for Facebook Chrome extension to automatically click all the Add Friends button. After that, you just have to confirm sending the request in some cases.
Here are the exact steps:
- Install it from here and then visit your Facebook page of your competitor and view the list of people who have liked its posts.
- Now, simply click on its Chrome extension icon and then select the “Click All Add Friends Buttons” option. After that, the Chrome extension will start sending friend requests to all users who liked that post. All you have to do is approve the sent requests, in some cases.
- Once the process is over, start the communication process with people who accept your friend requests.
Suggestion: Perform this activity daily instead of multiple times in a day as this will exhaust your quota of 2000 pending friend requests quota. So, the best way is to follow these steps daily and then after 3-4 days cancel your sent friend requests. This will make sure that you have enough quota to connect with other potential customers.
3. Invite the connected people to like your page
This is the last step in which you just need to invite the connected audience of your competitors to invite your page. Now, 9 out of 10 times it will work because your page is serving the relevant content which is of their interest. Just remember, you don’t send them an invite just after they have accepted your friend request.
4. Connect your page with a Facebook Group
If you haven’t created a Facebook Group for your business till now, then it is the right time to do so. Connecting your page with a Facebook Group will help you grow a community as you can also add the connected people in the group too. After that, occasionally share your important Facebook page posts in the connected group to promote it.
To prove how useful this method is, here is the growth report of my Facebook page (last month). Just note down the stats and the fact that I have used this strategy for just a couple of times. So, check it out and share your experience in the comments section.
Well, not just number of likes, the overall method will also help you to increase the engagement ratio and the total reach of your posts. For best results, be consistent and do not make yourself appear as another greedy marketing agent in front of the people.
If you need any help in any of the steps, just let me know and I will be more than happy to help. Happy Facebook page growth hunting to all of you.
