Google is listening to its consumers and the proof is the upcoming “revamped’ Pixel 4, unveiled by none other than Google itself, and the updates in some apps which allows you to toggle the dark mode. We have learned that after introducing dark mode to apps like Google Keep, News, Files, Google app, and Drive, Google is scheduling an update for Gmail which will include the now ubiquitous dark mode.
A screenshot corroborates the statement but the dark mode doesn’t have a toggle as such. It turns on and off by itself and is only visible in the settings windows.
This is more on the lines of a first look before the big update embraces every Gmail app. Gmail v2019.06.09 has this feature but it’s only a sneak peek into the future update so we say wait it out. And if you are really pumped to ditch the white UI in favor of the half baked dark mode, here’s the link https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/gmail/gmail-2019-06-09-253132566-release-release/ to download the APK file.
