Sydney Sweeney who rose to fame after playing Cassie in the HBO series “Euphoria” had posted some pictures from her mom’s 60th birthday celebration.
Only a red hat is visible in her original post, but it’s not very clear. Fans, however, found them on Trent, her brother’s Instagram account. One photo that featured a man wearing a Blue Lives Matter shirt went viral and provoked some negative feedback on social media.

Sydney Sweeney, who shared images and videos of the surprise hoedown she threw for her mother’s birthday on Instagram, captioned: “no better way to celebrate my momma than a surprise hoedown🤠.”
Some people weren’t happy with the response, labelling the decision to publish the images showing the anti-Black Lives Matter and ultra-right wing propaganda as a “absurd political statement” in and of itself.
Sweeney later tweeted, You guys this is wild. An innocent celebration for my moms milestone 60th birthday has turned into an absurd political statement, which was not the intention. Please stop making assumptions. Much love to everyone and Happy Birthday Mom!
