World drone leader DJI has launched a foldable gimbal for content creators who use their smartphones to shoot. Dubbed as Osmo Mobile 3 gimbal, DJI wants vloggers to buy this product which they claim will make their life easier. As mentioned earlier, the gimbal ks foldable with some added features.
The firm offers its own app to get more work done. The DJI Mimo application has some pre-programmed modes which connect to the smartphones via the Bluetooth 5.0. Tracking the subject is not a big deal with this gimbal as a feature called ActiveTrack handles it all well. It keeps the subject within the frame.
There are other modes that makes shooting a vlog much easier. The Sport Mode handles extreme motion conditions while TimeLapse and HyperLapse can also be shot with this gimbal. There’s also the usual Slow Motion and Panorama.
DJI said on the foldable design, “The redesigned form no longer obstructs the charging and audio ports, allowing for easy connection to charge the device or use the external mics.”
DJI sells the Osmo Mobile 3 in two different packages. The first is the standard version which includes the gimbal, storage pouch, anti-slip pads, and a wrist strap. Users will have to pay $119 (approximately ₹8,500) to buy this model. The other option, which costs $139 (approximately ₹9,950), includes all the components offered for the standard model but has some extra benefits in the form of Osmo Grip Tripod and the Osmo Carrying Case. Those interested can also buy Osmo Shield service but you’ll have to fork extra $10 (approx ₹700).
