The event, which generates several hundred million euros in revenue for the city of Barcelona each year, also means the world for a week turns its attention back to Europe for the latest in technology, despite a lagging ecosystem. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has left OnePlus, leaked documents suggest. He was the focus of the OnePlus Nord documentary. He was a part of OnePlus since its inception 7 years ago.

JonSigur, a Reddit user, leaked some documents that reveal some details that the firm hasn’t officially made public. The screenshots claim a leadership change. It names Emily Dai, who is officially in charge of the firm’s operations in India but she’ll soon take over as the head of the Nord product, worldwide. Carl Pei was in charge of the Nord series.

TechCrunch has also claimed that a few OnePlus insiders have confirmed that Carl Pei is indeed leaving the Chinese firm but rumor mills suggest that he’s going to begin his own venture. It is also rumored that Pei has been fired but that seems unlikely as no official confirmation has been given.

The news is interesting since OnePlus will unveil the 8T on October 14. It will only be confirmed if and when OnePlus gives an official statement.
