ASUS is a globally known brand for making intimidating laptops for general use and gaming. Its mobile division is yet to get that pizzazz treatment from critics and public alike. The recently launched ASUS 6z is an amazing flagship killer which is aggressively priced but its most discussed phone has always been the ASUS ROG Phone, which focuses solely on gamers. While the phone has its pros and cons, rumor mills churned up a story that a successor is in the works. And it is true, officially confirmed by ASUS.
ASUS will launch the ASUS ROG Phone 2 in China on July 23, according to the poster released by the firm. The Taiwanese firm has sent invites to the press and media outlets in China. Promotional events for the upcoming phone has also begun and is in full swing.
The phone is set to debut with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC with a 120Hz display that was rocked by its predecessor. An unknown phone appeared on several certification websites revealed that it will be equipped with a 30W fast charger in the box. The poster confirms that ASUS and Tencent have partnered on something, which we assume will be surprised and will only be revealed on the launch date.
ASUS had launched the original ASUS ROG Phone in India last year, albeit a few months after its international launch. The successor can be priced anywhere around ₹80,000, the same as its predecessor. Don’t expect a prompt launch; ASUS might take a few more months to bring the ASUS ROG Phone 2 to India. Stay tuned for more updated on the upcoming phone.
