Apple’s MacBook notebooks have been the pinnacle of performance and most professionals around the world prefer it over its Windows counterparts. The MacBook Pro comes in 13-inches and 15-inches but enthusiasts were always waiting for Apple to break the tradition for a more bigger and better version of the existing ones. Well, reports claim that Apple might launch a 16 inch MacBook Pro this fall. And it could very well make huge changes. To jog your memory, Apple manufactured a 17-inch model but it was discontinued back in 2012, which will make the upcoming 16-inch MacBook Pro the largest laptop made by the company. The rumored laptop will carry a staggering price tag of $3000 USD, which could very well be a base model.
There no concrete details about the processor the Cupertino giant might use in the forthcoming MacBook Pro but seeing that it will be a top-end laptop, Apple might incorporate Intel 9th Gen H-series CPUs; the newly unveiled 15-inch MacBook Pro is also powered by i9-9980HK 8-core CPU. Some theories point out to Apple using its custom processor instead, which is not verified as of now. Furthermore, the new 16-inch MacBook Pro is rumored to run on macOS Catalina, which other compatible Mac will also receive as an update.
Apple has been following the same design language for years (others too!) and people think it is time for a series-wide revamp. The decision of removing Butterfly keyboard shocked tech enthusiasts but did it have an underlying message of a redesign? TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has accurately predicted Apple’s design changes in the past, believes the rumored MacBook Pro could be the first notebook with a revamped design. This has led people to believe that Apple could incorporate a touchscreen display, improve the infamous touch bar or a new keyboard. We will know about it soon!
The display is what your wallet has to fear, as, with the increasing dimensions and features, the cost too would increase. A report from IHS Markit claimed that the 16 inch MacBook Pro will have a 16-inch display with an LCD panel and a resolution of 3,072×1,920. LG was rumored to supply the panels but a new report claims that Apple might make use of Samsung’s OLED’s for a better and brighter panel.
The phone’s existence is yet unknown but much rumored. Although, we live in a time where rumors turn out to be truer than a politician’s promises so maybe we will see a bigger, newer and an improved MacBook Pro after all.
