However, many people are yet to understand the unique features that make the phone worth the $1,000 price tag.

Here are several things you need to know about iPhone X.

1. Selfie Scenes

One of the features you will love is Selfie Scenes, which uses the front-facing camera True Depth to immerse you in a wide array of 360-degree animated landscapes.

2. Bluetooth 5.0

Yes. Your iPhone X comes equipped with Bluetooth 5.0, and that means four times the range, eight times broadcast, and two times the speed achieved in Bluetooth 4.2.

3. QZSS (Quasi-Zenith Satellite System) support

QZSS is a satellite-based augmentation system that is made for GPS that is receivable in Japan.

4. Galileo support

An alternative to GPS, Galileo is the Global Navigation System of Europe. The iPhone X supports both GPS and Galileo.

5. NFC with reader mode

This is a framework that was added to aid in the detection of Near Field Communication tags.

6. Neural engine

According to Apple, the neural engine is able to process up to 600 billion machine learning tasks per second, which makes new features like Face ID and Animoji efficient and fast.

7. A11 Bionic

This is the latest chip by Apple, which offers performance that is 25 percent faster. It also houses four high-efficiency cores that process 70 percent faster.

8. Portrait lighting

For this feature, Apple uses a robust algorithm that is able to calculate the way your facial features react to light. This data is then used in creating lighting effects like Stage Light, Natural Light, and Contour Light.

9. Faster charging

The iPhone X also utilizes the Qi coil for wireless charging, and this is configured to allow faster charging. In just 30 minutes, the device can be charged to more than 50 percent.

10. Longer battery life

Enjoy longer battery life as the iPhone X offers you up to two hours longer durability when fully charged.

11. True tone Quad-LED flash and Slow Sync

With slow sync also comes slow shutter speed, and these help when taking photos in low light. You can get a brighter foreground of the subject by getting a uniform flash illumination.

12. Video encoder

Apple has also designed a video encoder that offers real-time image processing using the HEVC compression to achieve reduced sizes.

13. Better image signal processor

The new image processor is able to detect elements around the scene (like motion, people, and lighting conditions) to easily optimize photos before taking them.

14. True Tone

Another feature you will appreciate is True Tone, which matches the intensity and color of the display to the light and color temperature in the surrounding.

15. Face ID

To unlock your phone, you will need to scan your face. This feature came as a replacement to the fingerprint scanning.

16. No home button

If you are used to the iPhone with a home button, things are a bit futuristic as the new iPhone X will not have a home button, and this was done to pave the way for the full-screen design.

17. Wireless charging

No more carrying wires around as the iPhone X offers you wireless charging, which utilizes the Qi coil. The coil allows you to use virtually any pad you can get.
