Google Search Console verification methods:
HTML file Upload ( Recommended Method )
Recommended method says Upload an HTML file to your site. It very easy, Login to your Hosting Account and go to file manager and simply upload the file to your main root folder not inside the theme or somewhere else. Click the on the link, As you see in screenshot something like http://3nions.com/googlecc…………
You should get a successful result and after that Click on verify ( red button ) to verify your property. Done !
Note : If this method fails then go for Alternate Methods.
For adding HTML tag you can switch to your admin account i.e. login to your dashboard.
Copy the meta tag and paste into your site. It should be in the <head> section. This method is quite hard for a beginner, So I would suggest, make use of WordPress plugin and do not edit your header.php because any wrong change may crash your site.
You can use Insert Headers and Footers plugin. Just install this plugin, activate it and paste the HTML tag in the header.
Domain name provider
Login to your domain name provider if it’s listed and you are done ! Very easy and a quick method to verify your site’s ownership.
If your domain name provider is not listed or you get an Unsuccessful result then move on to next method.
If are not using Google Analytics then this method wouldn’t help you. You might like :
