AVOID THESE USELESS EXERCISES

We as human beings get influenced by many things and one of the things also includes the below useless exercises. AVOID THESE USELESS EXERCISES

1. SEATED MILITARY /OVERHEAD PRESS

All the body builders in the house will be upset as this exercises is mostly used by them as a bodybuilding exercise but this is one of the most dangerous exercise and the reason behind is that when the resistance is in your hand it is not divided through your whole body because your hips get engaged on the seat leading to useless load on the spine as it is very dangerous. where as if we do standing overhead press the resistance is beard throughout the body as it becomes an axial load.

2. T BAR ROWS

In this particular exercise the joint of action and is the same as supported rows or bent over rows. The only difference is of the range. As the plates get touch to your chest while doing that movement it cannot go further and hence the range remains incomplete. This leads to less muscle involvement and ultimately leads to less muscle breakdown. Apart from this supported seated rows or bent over rows is a much better option for better performance and hypertrophy.

3. LEG EXTENSION

This particular exercise is an isolation movement, that means the movement is happening at a single joint whereas in a compound such as squat the movement is happening at two joints  hence the muscle involvement increases hence the workload also increases as the involvement of core muscle also increases.

4. UPRIGHT ROWS

In this exercise the movement is happening in the shoulder basically. Though it becomes a compound but as the lateral deltoid rotates internally it becomes very painful in long term as the friction produced in the joint is not a comfortable movement for your rotator cuff.

You should always chose an exercise based on the below factors.

  • The resistance should move in the line of gravity
  • The movement should provide continuous tension
  • The equipment you use should be scientifically accurate

So now with this informative content start training safe and stay tuned for more such fitness awareness.

I love combining squats into an upright row on the TRX. For someone who is balance disabled (lol), it’s probably the only move I can do on the TRX.
